A self-initiated project to document a 3.7-mile walk to work. I presented the information I collected in the form of typographic infographics.
Contents
The booklet is accompanied by a slip box, descriptive insert and a poster.
Front cover
A simplified map showing the tube journey and the route I walked.
Boroughs
The boroughs I walked through, shown in the order I walked though them and their relative location.
Underground stations
A spread showing the Tube stations I would normally take but avoided, and the stations I walked past instead.
Traffic crossings
The type of road crossings I used, and the order in which I used them.
Binding
I used wire binding so that the book had no end, evoking the nature of my repeated journey.
Poster
I combined the booklet’s typographic spreads into a poster showing the relative location of streets, post codes and boroughs.
